We interrupt our regular broadcast to bring you the Scottish Independence Referendum Special.

I found this book over a year ago when I got Eileen O’Faolain & Joan Kiddell-Monroe’s book Irish Sagas & Folk Tales. This was from the same series. There are plenty of overlaps between Irish & Scottish mythology & folklore. Most of these images are from stories that have an Irish counterpart but a few are just in there cos, well. Why not. They’re cool illustrations.

From the dedication; “The author wishes to acknowledge as her chief source of material Campbell’s collection of Gaelic folk-lore, ‘Waifs and Strays of Celtic Tradition.”

Scottish Folk-Tales & Legends by Barbara Ker Wilson
